Collaborate with the Infection Control Manager Hospital Epidemiologist and the Infection Control Committee the Infection Control Practitioner is responsible for assisting with the facility wide infection control program. Planning organizing and implementing the infection control program. Participating in infection control surveillance activities and evaluating hospital-acquired infections for preventable risk factors.
Infection Control reporting to public health authorities. Planning and providing educational programs related to Infection Control. Position reports to the Infection Control Manager.
Requirements: 2+ years acute care infection control or healthcare epidemiology experience; current license in the State in relevant field such as Nursing (Registered Nurse) or Medical Technology required CIC (Certified Infection Control) highly preferred; Working knowledge of infection control / epidemiology; JCAHO OSHA; Proven computer skills.
