Job Description

Philadelphia , PA , United States   Lead the manufacturing related departments utilizing the following related equipment processes and machinery Manage six people as well as being hands on contributing as a manufacturing engineer and will be reporting to the President.   Maintain a membership in SME or SAE and/or registration as a professional engineer. Induction hardening, Grinding hole making, Twin spindle metal turning machines, Broaching and Spline forming.

Job Requirements:

• Experience with the following related equipment as an Manufacturing Engineer
• Twin spindle metal turning machines, Broaching, Spline forming, Induction hardening, Grinding hole making etc.
• Two plus years experience in Process Engineering machine tooling and cutting tool technologies Knowledge of machine tool builders and supplier development.
• The ability to design the manufacturing process from customer concept through Quotation PPAP production and improvement
• Must be experienced with various cutting tools such as tooling used in turning drilling and broaching operations.
• Experience in using automation to integrate machine tools into a work cell.
• Experience with various methods of work holding and gauging
• Must have an understanding of quoting to customers utilizing accounting financing and economics.
• Advanced mathematical and statistical concepts or procedures such as trigonometry and statistical process control Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance GDandT.
• Familiarity with the Advanced Product Quality Process
• Working knowledge of basic inspection and testing concepts. Ability to read and interpret blueprints is required.
• Ability to apply lean principles to layout analyzes and improves manufacturing processes.
• Ability to performing a combination of engineering and hands-on processes.
• Ability to use CAD to work with customer drawings process documentation and layouts.
• Communicates with vendors to select and order equipment /tooling for various projects.
• Demonstrates leadership qualities by coordinating team efforts and achieving delivery and budgetary requirements.
• Knowledge of the Automotive Drive Train related components is a plus.
• Quality Certifications
• Taken and completed general business courses accounting financing and economics.   • EDUCATION: Bachelor degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering
