Physical Therapist preferably with 2 - 5 years experience (new grads are welcomed to apply). Provide mainly out-patient duties and is connected to a hospital; will provide individualized rehabilitative care based on scope of injury and physician directives.
Perform and document initial and ongoing assessments of patient condition.
Will establish a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient/family according to their capabilities and desires.
Educate the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits.
Plan and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting. Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs.
Supervise and delegate the care provided by physical therapy assistants according to established licensing laws, state regulations and practice standards.
Scope of job will require critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, and take appropriate action. Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required. Preferred: Master's
