The Infection Control Practitioner will report to a dynamic Director of Infection Control and be part of a three person Infection Control team. Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of acute care infection control experience with a CIC (Certified Infection Control) highly preferred (RN, MT or MPH).
A working knowledge of infection surveillance and control functions including epidemiological principles and infectious disease sterilization sanitation and disinfection practices is essential.
Knowledge of external regulatory requirements (JCAHO) excellent customer service skills and a working knowledge of adult education principles and patient care practices will also be required. This position reports to the Director of Infection Control.
* 1+ years infection control and epidemiology experience in an acute care hospital environment * CIC (Certified Infection Control) preferred although not required * Must be self-motivated organized and detail oriented; Possess solid data analysis skills * Excellent oral written communication and presentation skills.
• EDUCATION: * Bachelors of Science Nursing (BSN) * Masters of Science Nursing (MSN) preferred or Bachelors Microbiology or Master of Public Health
