Develop departmental policies and procedures handle compliance related issues serve, on appropriate committees working directly with physicians and performing related human resource functions. Direct activities for the Medical Records Department. Position reports to an Administrative Director.
Requirements: Five years supervising managing or directing a medical records department in an acute care hospital environment. Excellent working knowledge of Health Information Management Components including electric medical records and the implementation of electronic health records. Excellent verbal and written communications skills are essential.
• EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree is required, RHIA or RHIT certification highly preferred
