Analyze clinical organizational and operational systems to identify areas in need of improvement control or change to assure compliance with accreditation / regulatory standards.
Will facilitate teams/committees to correct identified deficiencies and provide education consultation and facilitation to hospital departments and the medical staff to assure ongoing compliance.
Assists in the coordination of state license and occupancy surveys development and implementation of corrective action plans for resolving any identified deficiencies prepares periodic reports regarding performance improvement and accreditation readiness activities for reporting to leadership hospital/system committees and the medical staff.
The Director of Quality/Performance Improvement and the Accreditation Coordinator will develop and continuously improve the Accreditation Readiness Program to ensure effectiveness goal achievements state of the art practices and compliance.
Requirements: * 3 thru 5+ years related healthcare industry experience within an acute care hospital environment * Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills * Demonstrated ability to use computer based clinical information systems databases word processing spreadsheets and related internet applications * Thorough knowledge of medical terminology and sound data analysis skills * Familiarity with JCAHO standards and DOH Regulations for hospitals. *Bachelors in a healthcare-related field or working towards completion required * Masters in healthcare-related field preferred * Registered Nurse(RN)preferred if applicable. * Certification in quality management project management or other related field preferred.
