Ensure the timely delivery of all assigned projects are on time on budget and meet the needs of the business while managing in line with the client’s methodology and processes.
The Lead Project Manager also participates in managing the overall portfolio of Product Development projects. • Under minimal direction of the Manager of development manage multiple moderately complex to complex or large- to medium-size Product Development projects per the standard Product Development methodology and project management processes. Projects often require considerable resources and/or high levels of functional integration • Ensures that all project team members (all functional teams BU team members and vendors) perform all necessary activities and produce the necessary artifacts while adhering to quality standards • Oversees that all project budgets are created and tracked against costs for all assigned Product Development projects. • Ensures that project expenditures are communicated to the business units and corporate per the established reporting process •Oversee that all project schedules are created and tracked against plan for all assigned Product Development projects •Communicate and reports project schedules and milestones • Ensure the schedule and forecasts are in synchronization with resource management schedule and forecasts •Ensure project risks are identified and communicated and risk management plans are established for all assigned Product Development projects •Develops plans to monitor mitigate and respond to risks •Directs scope change requests through the scope change management process •Ensure adjustments to the projects schedule cost and documentation are made based on scope changes •Communicate resource workload and forecasts with the Director of Project Management and vendor contact to manage overall resource and vendor capacity •Coordinate and conducts regular project meetings to review project progress resolve issues and address risks •Responsible for the periodic reporting of this project information and other defined project metrics •Act as a model Product Development project manager in the application of project management methodology consisting of standard processes tools and templates on all projects •Provide coaching to other team members where needed •Maintain awareness of the portfolio of Product Development projects through attending regular PM meetings •Assist the Manager of Development in overseeing the use of tools used to manage schedules resource allocation project costs risks issues status and documentation for all Product Development projects •3+ years of as project manager or project lead •Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred •Iterative product development experience preferably Rational Unified Computer Science or related field required.
Process (RUP) experience or knowledge •Demonstrated skills in leadership negotiation conflict management and communication, ability to travel (up to 25%)
