Develop maintain and enhance Corporate Strategic Planning and Budgeting systems to enable all departments to meet Corporate requirements.
Direct corporate planning process including the annual financial plan operating budgets and profit plans for all areas of the company. Integrate all financial plans budgets and profit plans to meet the needs of the company its parent divisions support departments and outside agencies.
Ensure that efficient and effective planning/reporting systems are developed implemented and maintained.
• Develop and analyze business models to enhance strategic business direction including acquisitions expansions offshore production and outsourcing.
• Develops procedures for preparation and administration of annual financial plans including instructions worksheets spreadsheets and supports preparation process.
• Provide leadership and expertise on costing expense management and capital allocation through the planning process and through improvements to expense reporting and budgeting methodologies and systems.
• Works with managers across the organization to facilitate the use of strategic planning tools and the development of strategic planning skills.
• Establishes and maintains liaison with senior management department heads and managers to obtain uniform data.
• Assists as required in collection of budget information.
• Challenge assumptions and conclusions in divisional plans prepare analysis and critique for review by senior management.
• Reconcile differences in methodology among divisional plans.
• Propose changes to planning process and reporting systems in order to streamline procedures improve productivity quality and reduce costs. This includes improvements to expense accounting and reporting and all cross-charging between departments.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience leading the strategic planning process
• Must possess excellent communication skills, oral and written
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint Word Excel)
• Knowledge of Hyperion and/or Friedman financial systems
• Knowledge of Strategic Planning and Analysis tools essential
• Must be able to articulate a vision and drive to the result
• Must be team oriented, ability to mentor and develop others
• Must possess strong analytical skills
• Experience within a consumer products manufacturing organization preferred
• User level experience in the design and development of Financial Information Systems highly desirable.
• EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree in Business finance or accounting
• Masters in related field or MBA preferred Organizational Relationship, position reports to the CFO (Chief Financial Officer).
