Responsibilities will include assisting with the day-to-day activities of the Hospital Epidemiology/Infection Control Unit.
Utilizing epidemiologic tools to identify patients and personnel at risk of infection clustering or outbreaks of infections variation in the levels of nosocomial infections or single cases of unusual infections.
Developing and monitoring of activities related to continuous quality assessment and improvement to include but not limited to surveillance for nosocomial infections reportable diseases employee/occupational health and safety.
Assisting in designing collection analyzing and presentation of data.
Requirements: Pennsylvania RN license (or eligible) required. Certified in Infection Control (CIC) highly preferred. A minimum of two years acute care infection control experience. Demonstrated ability to facilitate process improvement initiatives for health care acquired infection. Possess the ability to enter and manage data create reports and documentation. Demonstrated computer literacy Microsoft Office: Outlook Word Excel Access and PowerPoint). Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
