The Nurse Manager will be a key member of the leadership team and will provide accountability for the unit while supporting the core values of the organization.
Will develop, implement and evaluate a staffing plan to meet patient care needs
Allocate human material and fiscal resources effectively and efficiently
Work collaboratively with other disciplines and departments to develop and evaluate patient care programs
Facilitate clinical education and clinical investigation to advance the art and science of professional nursing practice
Promote the development of other nurse professionals
Ensure consistency in the implementation of the philosophy of nursing and standards of nursing practice. Services include: General Surgery Orthopedics Urology GYN Plastics Eye ENT and Podiatry. Position will report to the Director of Perioperative Services.
Current nursing registration (RN Registered Nurse) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or eligible
M.S.N. (Masters of Science Nursing) in nursing administration or a clinical specialty highly preferred
Demonstrated clinical competence in nursing practice and demonstrated ability in managerial competency
Demonstrated track record in staff and leadership selection and development with the ability to lead change
Demonstrated and comprehensive knowledge of Patient Safety and Team Concept
Comprehensive knowledge of working efficiently in the perioperative setting
Comfortable with leading edge technology and background in perioperative system implementations
Skilled in budget development and management.
