•Responsible and accountable for managing the day-to-day operations of the Performance Improvement (PI) department. Utilizes effective strategies in developing supervising and evaluating work processes resource consumption and outcomes.
• The Director plays a major role in the development of personnel compliance with regulatory and professional standards and the fostering of interdisciplinary collaborative relationships within Performance Improvement and the institution as a whole. • Works to establish and manage department and organization-level PI standards programs and strategies considering organization direction legal and regulatory requirements and customer needs. • Serves as a resource to and works collaboratively with others including staff leaders administration physicians and external agencies. • The successful candidate will be a Registered Nurse with a Masters Degree in a health care related field or have evidence of attaining.
• 5+ years clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting • 3+ years previous knowledge of Joint commission standards +/or CMS Conditions of Participation and acute care infection prevention practices preferred. • Strong computing communication and facilitation skills are essential to the position as is the ability to analyze and interpret data to make fact-based decisions. • Certified Profession in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) Certified Quality Manager (CQMgr) or similar is preferred. • Reports to the Associate Vice President of Quality and Supply Chain
