Process and quality optimization – understanding the needs of our customers (internal and external) translating those requirements into improvement plans and then implementing changes in procedures and processes to support product and process development.

Promote safety awareness and keeping safety as a number one priority on an ongoing basis. Actively participates in safety programs and safety reviews.

• Design and implement process control methods to improve machine performance specifically quality waste and downtime. Instruct operating and maintenance teams on the use of statistical methods for performance improvement.
• Interface with equipment and material vendors to stay informed of new technologies and equipment and their potential applications.
• Responsible for recommending and implementing new materials and processing technologies for company applications where feasible and practical.
• Support Production QA Maintenance Planning and Accounting needs by developing and maintaining accurate process standard databases.
• Be fully knowledgeable with all manufacturing processes and products. Act as a technical resource or to lead problem solving teams. Participate on project teams to improve performance of existing processes and improve raw material performance.
• Lead or coordinate trials for process improvement raw material qualifications new products and for new equipment. Requirements:
• At least five years of industrial experience in a process/development function.
Experience in a high volume continuous process manufacturing operation preferred.
• Understanding of Statistical Process Control and Design of Experiments.
• Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills both oral and written.
• Excellent problem solving skills able to investigate and observe at point of problem conduct tests recommend and implement corrections and improvements.

•  EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Mechanical Electrical or other related engineering fields
