Assist and coordinate with the Mobile Equipment Engineer any engineering continuous improvement activities . Responsibilities will include Engineering Change Management equipment design equipment repair technical support for the sourcing group technical support for the Columbia facility and leading efforts to continuously improve the operations.
• Coordination and implementation of engineering change notices • Maintain a reliable manufacturing facility via effective ECM handling. • Implement lean manufacturing principles to the production floor. • Provide technical support for the sourcing group and vendors on product to be sourced. • Liaison between design offices in Europe and plant operations on technical issues • Develops and documents procedures and practices for area of responsibility. • Responsible for the development of work instructions and the training. • Ensure facility complies with all environmental regulations including reports.
REQUIREMENTS: • of 3 years manufacturing experience. • Proven track record of driving change in a continuous improvement environment • Technical knowledge and understanding of Metric and Imperial engineering standards and general engineering practices preferably in a heavy equipment line assembly operation • Proven skills to develop lead and work within a successful team • Practical experience in welding fabrication hydraulics and electrical (preferred) • Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices strongly preferred • Capability to problem solving in assembly issues.
• Education: Engineering Degree (Design or Mechanical) with a minimum
