Identify problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results and either corrects the problems or notifies the supervisor technical specialist. Exercise professional judgment in evaluation specimen integrity result accuracy and inter-result validity and takes corrective action as necessary.
Perform testing procedures that are authorized by the laboratory medical director with the degree of skill commensurate with education training experience and technical abilities.
The Medical Technologist will report to the Laboratory Director, work in a laboratory team providing specimen processing test performance and reporting of results.
Maintains records that demonstrate that proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient specimens and that all quality control instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance procedures are performed.
Requirements: 1+ years of clinical laboratory experience is required ASCP or equivalent certification preferred State license or eligible required Proven effective communication interpersonal skills team building organizational and customer service skills required Computer literacy with data entry skills along with Microsoft Office application skills required Knowledge of laboratory operations regulations and compliance required.
