Position reports directly to the Director of Human Resources Manager of this manufacturing facility. The number of direct reports will be 3 including a specialist staff support and administration. Safety experience would be a plus.
Responsible for the day to day responsibilities that come with managing the human resource functions as they relate to hourly employees. Strong experience in Human Resources Management within a multi unit manufacturing environment is expected. Excellent generalist skills are a requirement.
Strong knowledge of local, state and federal employment guidelines, manage payroll issues, maintain employee records, complete and record insurance and other programs offered to employees and be able to assist employees in understanding and evaluating the participation in these programs.
May be involved in retraining or training new employees or existing employees or answering questions that employees may have on policies or procedures within the company or agency. This will be a very hands-on opportunity for this person to get out on the floor. Will not be responsible for labor relations or salaried employees.
