Job Description

Work with Purchasing agents (6-8) to discuss open orders backorders and related issues using computer generated reports identify parts and components that are no longer profitable to stock.

Responsible for purchasing product to enable the company to grow and attain maximum profitability. Examine daily receiving reports to monitor timeliness of the supplies and shipments, review purchase order cost versus cost of the part when previously received, be alert to the status of back ordered parts that have arrived.
Approve and submit overseas supplier invoices to Accounts Payable for payment. Position will report to the Purchasing Manager and closely monitor inventory levels and take steps to ensure overall level is not excessive.
 - Review cycle count variance reports or discrepancies and ensure discrepancies have been thoroughly investigated.
 - Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

 - Company ships 24/7 to dealers and customers, very customer oriented.
 - Prepare monthly report covering major projects and issues in Purchasing for the previous month.
 Prepare weekly report showing dollars on order for upcoming month
 - Prepare initial and ongoing training and supervision of up to six Purchasing Agents and the Purchasing Assistant.
 - Position reports directly to President and must be able to answer questions to him on request at any time. Requirements:
Along with experience preferably 1 to 2 + years of experience in purchasing. Prior management experience would be a real plus. Must be willing to travel up to 20%

• EDUCATION: Bachelors degree is required.
