Plan and implement manufacturing strategies and action plans to insure the manufacturing operations group supports strategic initiatives and manage continuous improvement activities for the production operations. Position reports to the General Manager.   

Review analyze plan coordinate and lead all activities within the manufacturing operations organization.  Plan organize and direct the manufacturing operations to assure the most effective return on assets. Initiate plan and processes which minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower equipment facilities materials and capital.  

* Assure attainment of programs and production schedules while ensuring high quality standards for our customers 
* Assure timely and efficient introduction of new and improved products that ensures manufacturing input to product strategic plans 
* Assure the development and coordination of systems and programs to promote cost effective manufacturing operations that are in line with manufacturing plans and objectives. 
* Assure execution of manufacturing schedules  
* Support programs and procedures that provide reliable products with minimum quality control  repair  scrap and warranty expense 
* Improve manpower utilization within existing manufacturing facilities and processes 
* Ensure continuous improvement in product quality 
* Implement engineering changes and the launch of new products 
* Foster an environment that encourages employee involvement 
* Meet safety quality inventory and financial targets 
* Coordinate key product launches throughout the operations     

* Previous experience in plastics or rubber compounding. 
* Extrusion experience is beneficial. 
* 6-8 years of management experience is required.
* 2-3 years at a staff level position 
*Applicant may also possess a business or engineering degree with a background in manufacturing processes 
* Strong leadership skills are essential 
* Previous assignments in various manufacturing departments will be considered an asset 
* Good analytical and problem solving skills 
* Strong organizational and planning abilities 
* Able to work with people at all levels of the organization

• EDUCATION: B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering is preferred.  MBA degree is desirable.
