Perform electronic data management functions including proper use of imaging RIS, PACS and tele-radiography. Perform emergency and complex patient care and monitoring in a competent manner in conjunction with MRI study; patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination.
Prepare and positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body. Modify imaging technical and scanning parameters for patient diagnosis, pathology or cooperation level. Perform electronic image and filmed procedure quality analysis and assurance.
Transfer images from disk to magnetic media to produce the transparency, and develops film in an automatic processor. Perform emergency and complex patient care and monitoring in a competent manner in conjunction with MRI study. Complete patient documentation and charting in compliance with medical and legal requirements.
Requirements: Must have ARRT and MR 1-3 years of MRI work experience Graduate of approved AMA council of Education program in radiological technology; Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Requires current CPR and AED certification; MRI registry preferred, but not required
