Read electrical schematics, read and follow instructions and communicate effectively, must have own tools, toolbox and a commercial Driver’s license (preferred). Remove and install components on engines, in and out of chassis.
Rebuild engine components, document the work performed, maintain training requirements for position. Troubleshoot failures, diagnose, repair, and rebuild engines repair, remove and install engines in equipment chassis. Remove and install engines in equipment chassis.
Requirements: Two year diesel diploma/certificate or equal years experience in repair of diesel engines preferred. Knowledge and understanding of engine theory and operation. Ability to use computer and windows based programs such as Quick Serve On-line, and INSIT A valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history.
Excellent customer service skills. Able to lift 25-100lbs, and use proper lifting tools and techniques. Bend, stretch, stand, kneel, twist and climb on equipment. Wear safety equipment at all times and perform all tasks in a safe and efficient manner
• EDUCATION: A Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering is required.
