Support the development of a nurturing healing culture building relationships and creating a compassionate team within the hospital. Participate in interdisciplinary clinical ethics rounds on specific units.
Act as a regional resource and coordinator of organizational business and clinical ethics. Assist in the education communication and deliberation of organizational and clinical ethical issues. Facilitate clinical ethics consults.
Requirements: - 3-5 years of experience working in a hospital or health care related environment with demonstrated knowledge of the institutional operations and patient care issues. - Work knowledge and practical experience in ethical issues (clinical and organizational preferred) in a Religious Health Care system. - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. - Ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment with individuals at all levels of the organization. - Demonstrate a caring respectful and compassionate attitude toward all people.
• EDUCATION: Registered Nurse and PhD in Health Care Ethics strongly preferred or Moral Theology or philosophy with specialization in Health Care Ethics.
