Infection Control Practitioner to perform surveillance prevention and infection control activities and collect, analyze and report data. Will formulate and review policies and procedures as part of the implementation, evaluation and revision of infection control practices. Position reports to the Director of Quality.
Requirements: - Knowledge of adult education principles and patient care practices will also be required. - Knowledge of external regulatory requirements (JCAHO) excellent customer service skills. - California RN license (or eligible) - A minimum of two years acute care infection control experience - Certified in Infection Control (CIC) preferred but not required - Demonstrated ability to facilitate process improvement initiatives for health care acquired infection - Possess the ability to enter and manage data create reports and documentation
• EDUCATION: Bachelors or Masters Degree in Nursing, or Medical Technologist (MT) or Master of Public Health / Epidemiology or Bachelors degree in healthcare related field
