Leverage results in all interactions with Suppliers to ensure that products and information are aligned with OEM expectations business objectives needs and contractual requirements. Identify potential risk areas including quality volume certification schedules and delivery standards Track problem to its source and establish corrective action plans implements the plans and monitors the outcome.
Ensure evaluation methods yield increased error prevention and early error detection. Interfaces with management to address high level issues. Position reports the progress to the OEM colleagues keeps them apprised of supplier activities issues and potential issues, makes recommendation and implement the action plans.
The Supplier Performance Engineer must have experience representing the interest of the OEM in the daily interaction with its main risk suppliers). Must have a have a good mix of Quality Delivery and Production experience within the manufacturing assembly and/or manufacturing components experience. Must have experience on the supply side able and the ability to interact with the OEM and its suppliers. 3 or more prior years of work experience in aerospace engineering affiliated with: program management quality production planning / processes or Supply Chain. Strong understanding of electrical/mechanical systems parts/ materials. Multi-cultural/multi-lingual background Spanish a plus and/or eager to learn.
