Support new product programs current projects and current production to meet quality cost and delivery targets. The position will be the key communicator for various Collaborative Product and Process Development (CPPD) teams to interface with multiple suppliers and Global Purchasing working closely to ensure early supplier collaboration on design for manufacturability assembly and cost as well as adherence to APQP guidelines. This individual will face many opportunities in attaining cost targets project schedules and program priorities.
Requirements: Experience preferably in the areas of design manufacturing or industrial engineering or equivalent experience plus five years demonstrated experience in any of the following fields - Heavy Machining Heavy Fabrications Castings Powertrain Complex Light Fabrications Gear manufacturing or Forgings. - Experience with New Product Introductions and manufacturing processes. - Must have demonstrated ability to lead teams to goal completion. The position will require a proven understanding and usage of GD and T tool design cost estimating FMEA and project management. Travel expectations may be as much as 50% depending on program requirements. - Must have the ability to effectively communicate technical information with teams as well as employees in other units and suppliers. Purchasing Supply Chain Quality and Negotiation skills.
