Position reports to the Director of Engineering. Will oversee the development and implementation of measurement and verification plans for energy saving performance contracting projects at colleges hospitals and municipal state and federal government facilities. Supervise and train engineers, review and approve the measurement and verification budgets and plans - Coordinate resources with project teams and other departments. - Supervise Measurement and Verification plan development and approve construction and service phase measurement and verification budgets - Evaluate performance risk for proposed Measurement and Verification approaches and review technical feasibility and cost effectiveness of final measurement and verification plans. - Oversee baseline and post-installation data collection including trend data from building automation systems field performance tests short term monitoring and power measurements. - Review and approve post-installation and annual reports - Supervise investigation and resolution of performance issues. Develop remedies for savings shortfalls and present proposed remedies to customers.
REQUIREMENTS: 10 years experience in energy efficiency and/or performance contracting. Licensed Professional Engineer Certified Measurement and Verification Professional are desirable. Excellent verbal and written communication math and problem-solving skills and be able to work both independently and in a team environment. Demonstrated experience in energy analysis of building systems including HVAC systems chillers boilers and variable speed drive applications is required. Must be familiar with FEMP measurement and verification guidelines. The ideal candidate would have experience in energy industry, PE and/or a certified measurement and verification profession are preferred.
