Oversee crisis situations initiate crisis team and communications plan and provide executive counsel. Develops appropriate media relations strategies and materials, provides counsel to company executives on media relations strategies, conducts interviews and oversees the development and execution of media outreach to maximize accurate and balanced coverage.
Implement public relations plans including special events, speaking engagements, media pitching, community outreach, earned media opportunities, shared media opportunities Drive all PR strategy marketed Specialty Care products and oversee communication for near-term pipeline opportunities.Develop relationships with external advocacy organizations opinion leaders institutions and key media.
Coordinate activities across communication functions assist Investor Relations in positioning of PPD business. Oversee budget for Specialty Care communication programming identify optimal use of resources across portfolio.
Counsel and provide training to staff developing key press materials manage and develop team members. Identify and execute proactive story and speaking opportunities identify and develop internal and external spokespersons.
Requirements: Minimum of 5-10 years experience in increasing responsibility in a public relations agency or corporate communications environment. Must have experience working in a spokesperson capacity. Working knowledge of the development and execution of all functional aspects of public relations. Excellent writing verbal and problem-solving skills. Must have an understanding of health care and/or the pharmaceutical industry.
Prior experience at a pharma biotech medical device or on the agency side a plus. Position requires management of multiple public relations projects and budgetary management.
