Responsible for a wide variety of detailed financial and budgetary activities in the day to day support of a Program Management Office (PMO) that is assisting a Government client in the management of a large automation and modernization program. Prepare and analyze comparative evaluation of actual costs against budgeted funds and determines rationale for variances between costs and budget.
Provide guidance and ensure program adherence to financial regulations and policies. Gathers analyzes prepares and summarizes recommendations for financial plans acquisition activity trended future requirements and operating forecasts Compiles and reviews budgets to control funds and provide for proper financial administration. Guide Earned Value Management(EVM) data collection and reporting. Assist in the development of presentations for briefings and executive presentations.
Requirements: Bachelors Degree or higher in finance accounting or similar field is required. Sound knowledge of principals of accounting financial management business processes and budget forecasting. Candidate must be detail oriented.Minimum of 9 years experience in financial management and budgetary analysis with emphasis in government contracting in an IT environment. Knowledge of federal appropriations regulations and policies are required as is a professional demeanor and strong work ethic. Experience with Project and Portfolio Management tools such as MS Project or Primavera is highly desirable. Knowledge and experience with earned value management is preferred. CGFM or CDFM is preferred but not required. Candidate must be willing to undergo a background investigation credit check and drug test as well as be able to obtain a security clearance.
