Manage new business development activities, develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals. Recommends sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly. Reviews market data to determine customer needs pricing and discount rates.
Directs channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories quotas and goals. Assists in product rationalization. Develop and deliver sales presentations to key clients in coordination with the sales representatives. Meets with key clients assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships negotiating and closing deals.
Analyzes and controls expenditures of the department to conform to budgetary requirements. Prepares periodic sales reports showing sales volume potential sales and areas of proposed facility base expansion. Monitors and evaluates activities of the competition.
Directs staffing training and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program. Advises dealers distributors and clients concerning sales and advertising techniques. Coordinates liaison between sales department and other sales-related units. Assists other departments within the organization to prepare manuals and technical publications.
Requirements: 5 - 7 years of Engineering sales management experience with strong computer skills Ability to handle travel schedules of up to two to four weeks and flying times of 13 to 15 hours.required.
EDUCATION: Minimum Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Sales preferred
