The Construction Estimator will maintain working documents as back-up for estimate figures including current (accurate) information on prices from suppliers through direct contact sales brochures price lists etc.
Other duties include: * Reviews proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate. * Prepares discipline estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work. * Supports other department personnel as required may include preparing estimates in other disciplines. * Reviews design options and recommends best solution based on cost engineering quality or availability of materials. * Performs additional assignments per supervisors direction. * Requires minimum supervision when estimating items in own discipline. * May independently estimate a medium to large sized project.
Requirements: • 5-9 years estimating heavy Highway Construction Projects • Must be HCSS proficient or proficient within a 12 month period. • Excellent computer and communication skills • Applicant must be authorized to work in the United States • Applicant must have a valid drivers license.
• EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science (BS) in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
